■ いつもの操作がなんなのか調べる方法
Emacs Advent Calendar 2010の12日目の記事です。 11日目はk1LoWさんの空気のようなEmacs Lisp -2010 冬-でした。
EmacsはEmacs LISPで拡張できるエディタとして有名ですが、Emacsはなにもしていない状態でもEmacs LISPにより動作を定義されているエディタとして機能しています。
何気なく押した、C-f, C-b, C-n, C-p なども関数に割り当てられています。 あるキーを押したときに何が呼ばれるか調べるには、
[f1] - c
あるいは M-x help-for-help c を入力します。その後、調べたいキーの入力を行うと
C-p runs the command previous-line
のように表示してくれます。
previous-line は何をする関数なんでしょうか？ 関数の詳細を調べてみましょう。
[f1] - f
あるいは Mx help-for-help f のあとにミニバッファへ previouos-line と入力してみます。
なるほど。simple.elで定義されているようですね。 引数を渡すこともでき、引数があるときは引数の分だけ上にカーソルを移動させる、というような説明がでてきました。
逆に previous-line が何に割り当てられているのかを知るには
[f1] - w
で調べることができます。
いつもの操作がどんな関数に関連づけられているのか知ることで少しEmacsに詳しくなれるかもしれませんね。
